Hotel Overview
Built in 1928 for guests of Ubud's Royal Prince, the Hotel Tjampuhan came to prominence in 1934 when it became the starting point for Pita Maha, an artist association founded by Tjokorda Gde Agung Sukawati and noted Western artists Walter Spies and Rudolph Bonnet.
Featuring sixty-seven individual dwellings built in traditional Balinese style scattered throughout lovely terraced landscaped gardens with views of the tropical river valley below and the 900 year old Gunung Lembah Temple Hotel Tjampuhan offers spacious and comfortable accommodation in a timeless setting. Recently renovated and extended under the supervision of the Royal Family, the Hotel Tjampuhan continues the dream of Pita Maha by maintaining a private retreat enveloped in natural beauty.

Room Description
All rooms in the Hotel Tjampuhan Spa feature private balconies, tub and shower bathroom, coffee/tea making facilities and refrigerator.
Agung Rooms are fan-cooled with private terraces while the more spacious Raja Rooms bedrooms are air-conditioned and feature wide private verandahs that boast unsurpassed views of the river valley. All buildings enjoy the natural insulation of traditional Balinese thatched roofs and are surrounded by lush tropical gardens.
